Pixar never ever dissapointed you! Tanpa keraguan, Toy Story 3 sangat amat akan menjadi 3 besar film favorit saya tahun ini. Saya tumbuh dewasa dengan animasi ini, menyaksikan Toy Story (1995) pada waktu saya berumur 7 tahun dan Toy Story 2 (1999) di usia 11 tahun membuat animasi Toy Story menjadi bagian dalam masa kecil saya dan juga merupakan satu-satunya animasi yang menempel lekat dalam ingatan saya. Membayangkan mainan kesayangan kita ternyata bisa 'hidup' dan bermain selama kita tidak ada sangat menyenangkan sekali! Saya berangkat menonton film ini di hari pertama penayangannya dengan ekspektasi yang tinggi, sampai-sampai saya rela membeli tiket lebih mahal di premiere studio agar merasa lebih nyaman. Saya berharap banyak pada sekuel ketiga Woody dan kawan-kawan ini. Menunggu 10 tahun untuk menyaksikan sekuel ketiganya bukanlah waktu yang singkat. Namun penantian itu tidak sia-sia, ekspektasi saya yang tinggi ternyata mampu terpuaskan dan Toy Story 3 was a perfect conclusion to one of the best animation trilogies of all time!
Diceritakan kalau Andy (John Morris) sekarang sudah akan masuk kuliah. Ia juga sudah lama tidak pernah bermain lagi dengan mainan-mainan kesayangannya dulu seperti Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), Mr.Potato Head (Don Rickles), Mrs.Potato Head (Estelle Harris), Rex (Wallace Shawn), dan lainnya. Andy juga harus bersiap untuk pindah ke asrama dan mengosongkan kamarnya yang akan ditempati sang adik. Itu berarti ia juga harus membereskan mainan-mainannya tersebut. Para mainan Andy ini sedih dan bingung apakah mereka akan dibuang atau ditempatkan di loteng. Mereka lebih memilih untuk ditempatkan di loteng, dimana mereka masih tetap bisa bersama dan bermain. Akan tetapi ternyata Andy memilih membawa Woody untuk ikut dengannya dan menempatkan sisanya di loteng. Keadaan menjadi kacau ketika kantung plastik berisi mainan yang akan dibawa ke loteng ternyata tidak sengaja dibuang oleh sang ibu! Woody akhirnya berhasil menyelamatkan teman-temannya, namun semuanya menjadi semakin rumit karena ternyata mereka ngambek dan memilih untuk masuk ke kardus yang akan disumbangkan ke tempat penitipan anak, Sunnyside. Di Sunnyside mereka bertemu dengan teman-teman baru sesama mainan, tempatnya nyaman, dan banyak anak-anak yang akan mengajak mereka bermain. Akan tetapi apakah ternyata Sunnyside lebih baik daripada di rumah Andy?
Animasi buatan Pixar memang selalu indah. Gambarnya berwarna-warni dan sedap dipandang. Karakter-karakternya sangat memorable. Jalan cerita yang disajikan sering penuh dengan kejutan yang tidak pernah kita sangka. Itulah Pixar! Toy Story 3 merupakan sebuah film animasi yang sempurna di mata saya, sempurna sebagai film baru bagi yang pertama menyaksikan dan juga sempurna sebagai sebuah lanjutan dari kedua film terdahulu. Untuk yang mempunyai pengalaman sama seperti saya; tumbuh dewasa bersama karakter Andy dalam film ini, anda pastinya akan merasa seakan-akan anda mengenal semua karakter mainan didalamnya. Meskipun banyak sekali karakter mainan baru yang muncul kali ini, namun semua dapat membaur dengan baik dengan karakter-karakter lama. Barbie (Jodi Benson) dan Ken (Michael Keaton) langsung mencuri perhatian dengan tingkahnya yang konyol dan super-fashionable. Begitu juga dengan tingkah Mr.Potato Head di salah satu scene. Dijamin sangat menghibur!
Pada 15 menit menjelang film usai, emosi anda akan dicampur-aduk. Hebat sekali, emosi kita seakan seperti diajak menaiki rollercoaster yang naik turun sejak awal film dan memuncak klimaks ketika akhir. Scene yang disajikan di akhir ini sangat mengharukan, terlebih juga didukung dengan musik score yang luar biasa pas. Saya menangis terharu menyaksikannya, begitu juga dengan 10 teman saya sesama reviewers lainnya. Padahal mereka semua lelaki, namun itulah hebatnya animasi Pixar. Mungkin jika ini adalah kali pertama anda menyaksikan Toy Story, anda tidak akan seharu itu. Jangan bayangkan adegan sedih, adegan akhir ini lebih mengharukan sekaligus menggembirakan sampai-sampai membuat penonton yang sudah mengikuti film ini dari yang pertama mengeluarkan air mata. Susah menuliskan perasaannya dengan kata-kata, tetapi yang punya ikatan kuat dan tumbuh bersama animasi ini pasti akan mengerti. Trilogi Toy Story ditutup dengan sangat baik bahkan kelewat istimewa. Dengan kembali membawa moral yang baik dalam ceritanya kali ini yaitu ada saatnya kita memang harus melepaskan sesuatu yang kita sayangi, meskipun itu berat tapi mungkin itu adalah hal terbaik yang harus dilakukan. Definitely ... A-MUST-SEE!!! ♥
